Have a look at the babies currently with us at the home in the gallery below.

Our babies have either been abandoned or given up for adoption by the mother. Hope House is a type of ‘half way house’ where they are loved and cared for until they are placed into the adoptive family.
We take only babies aged from birth to 6 months  and our desire is that they will be adopted before they are 3 years of age.

Ten(10) babies have been reunited with family members, either the mother has changed her mind about giving up her baby during the 6 weeks time they are given to do this, or a family member or members have  been located and have agreed to take the baby.

Of the 285 babies we have cared for since opening the home, we have placed only 7 in homes for older children because they were not adopted from Hope House by the ages of 2 to 3 years. Each child has adapted well to their new ‘families’.
Our full capacity is 23 babies, but this number fluctuates as babies come and go.

Eleven babies have tested HIV positive with seven of them sero converting to negative before the age of 18 months.  Tests have shown the other 4 will remain positive. Anti Retroviral medication has a very positive effect on their health and is now free in Kenya.
